Hi, I am Aditi Abraham, Founder and Creative Director of AD’Novel.

One of the most common questions I get is, “How do you pronounce the brand name?” While many people read it as “AD Novel,” it is actually pronounced as one word — Adnovel.

The apostrophe in AD’Novel represents the story behind the name. “AD” comes from Aditi, and “Novel” stands for novelty and newness. Together, AD’Novel means “Aditi’s Novelty” — a reflection of my passion for creating things that are innovative, meaningful, and different from what already exists. The name was lovingly coined by my mother and business partner, Tessy Abraham.

The journey began in 2018 as a passion project under the name Regalia. Fascinated by materials and sustainable design, I started experimenting with bamboo and engineered wood, creating my very first pair of earrings. Soon after, an opportunity to participate in a university event encouraged me to push my creativity further. Within just two weeks, I designed, crafted, finished, polished, packaged, and presented over 200 jewellery pieces from engineered wood, spending countless hours in the wood workshop and discovering the potential of what would later become AD’Novel.

Following successful pop-ups, exhibitions, and online sales, I officially launched the brand as AD’Novel in 2020.

From the very beginning, AD’Novel has been built on one simple belief: to create products that people know are possible, but never imagined could exist. That’s where I stand by the quote ‘Dare to be Different’. Sustainability has always been at the heart of this journey. By transforming engineered wood waste into beautiful, functional products, we strive to prove that design can be both innovative and responsible.

Today, AD’Novel creates handcrafted wooden jewellery, including earrings, studs, pendants, brooches, keychains, tea coasters, gift hampers, and custom-designed gifting solutions. Every product is thoughtfully crafted with creativity, functionality, and sustainability in mind.

As we look towards the future, AD’Novel is evolving beyond jewellery into the world of textiles, fashion, and material innovation. Through ADNOVEL Innovations LLP, we aim to explore sustainable fashion, upcycled materials, textile waste reduction, smart textiles, and innovative product development that contribute to a greener and more conscious future.
